NAIL ART: Gradient Nails

Hi lovelies! Finally, I had time to blog. My gosh, the weekend was so packed with activities that I only had barely 2-3 hours of sleep! Whew! Awake for more than 24 hours last Friday then 2-3 hours of sleep during Saturday and Sunday! I was always out so I never had the chance to post anything.

Anyway, I made these nails last Friday morning but I didn't have a chance to take a photo of my newly manicured nails until this morning. So this is 3 days of wear already, enduring a lot of activities hence the tipwear. Please please, bear with my nails, because 1) I was in a dark room when I made it. 2) I dont have my fine cleaning brush with me so I used a bigger brush hence the uneven cuticle lines. But I'm happy with my nails even if its a little bit effed up.

For this gradient, I used Etude House BL501 for the base and Nicole by OPI "Baby" Blue from The One Less Lonely Girl Collectionfor sponging.

It's so nice and easy, will try it again soon!

That's it for today, on my next post it will be much much more presentable than this. Thanks for reading!

NAIL ART: Most simple design I've done. Even if its the 14th

Hi everyone! Whew! Sorry for the long absence. I had the craziest week! I had a 12-hour shift for 5 days, then had a break on Saturday, then worked again on Sunday! I never even had time to play with my polishes! I was so excited for my 2 days off. Starting today til tomorrow then I'll be facing a crazy week again. I don't know if I can last a long time with this kind of schedule. We'll see.

Anyway, I have a very glittery polish for you. I made a very simple design since I was in a hurry this morning  and I need to get this off by tomorrow night.

First, I'd like to show you the polish I used, Diana Manicure 1531.

Diana Manicure 1531- A  red jelly filled with red and silver glitters.

Bloody? Very.

Application was perfect, brush was a pro-wide one, which was very unusual considering that it was only Php60. ($1.50)

Here's my nail art. Told you it was simple =P I used Etude House PP007 for the hearts.

That's it for me tonight! I'll try to put up as many posts as I can this week or until I get used to my schedule. I'm usually dead beat when I get home so I think I need to take some time to get used to everything.
Goodnight ladies,

Camille

PS. To Kc, I'm really sorry I wasn't able to show you the flakies. I never had the time to go to the mall to look for it. Really sorry dear.

NAIL ART: Bring me luck this new year!

Hi everyone! I'd like to show you my new year nails. See, here in the Philippines, because of Chinese influence, we believe that having round things during New Year's eve will bring you luck. Round fruits on the table, dotted clothes, gold coins scattered all over the house, etc.. So in lieu with that, I give you my "Please I need luck nails!"

That glitter is insane! Although its really gritty when worn. And the holo effect of the glitters disappear once the polish is dry. Sucks.

I used Etude House Black Glam for the base and China Glaze 2030 for the dots.

This is my effed up left hand.

Sorry for all the mess, I was making creme brulee' while doing my nails. Talk about multi-tasking. =P

Alright, I'm a bit of in a hurry. Happy New Year guys!

Love,

Camille

NAIL ART: Meowy Christmas

Hi guys.. Sad morning.. I cant make my external hard drive work.. kept on telling me to format disk for me to use it. noooooo!!! I wish there's still a way to restore all my files.. I'll just post my nails.. I wanna cry!!

My first Christmas Nail art.

For the thumb:
I used Bobbie Snow Glitz, Black 2 way nail art pen, White 2 way nail art pen
Index:
Elianto Racing Green for base, China Glaze 2030 for the cat
Middle:
Etude House PP007 for base, white 2 way nail art pen for the cat
Ring:
Etude House RD010 for the base, Elianto Indigo Shine for the cat
Pinky:
Etude House PK005 for the base, Caronia Claret for the cat

At first I only thought of a cat for the design (because I love cats) but then since its December I included some snow in it and glittery colors.

Now let me get back to my wailing and grieving.

SWATCH: Battle of the Reds

Lazy Sunday to you guys! I myself feel really sluggish today. I wanted to change my mani because it was starting to shrink. I have no idea why. Is it because of China Glaze Matte Magic? Maybe. Anyway, I don't feel like doing anything today, might as well do it tomorrow.

I was looking through my stash and sorted out the colors. I found all my reds and I was delighted to see some of my old polishes, including local brands. I swatched it on a fake nail (And I did it on a single nail. Talk about being so lazy) to see if it still applies perfectly. All of it still does except Caronia Simply Red. Oh well, I've had it since 2006. I can toss it out now. There's a lot of it available in beauty stores here anyway.

So here's all of the swatches:

  Etude House RD010.

For the comparison:

Please dont mind the tag price =p This is one of my oldest bottles. I'm surprised a local brand still applies well after 3 years.

 L-center -With flash, no flash

Ive also been lemming for Lubu Heels and Black Russian. I tried layering to copy the look. I used a black nail polish as base and layered it with Etude House RD010. What do you think?

NAIL ART: Pink Over Violet

HI guys! A week ago I planned on entering the "FNA Weekly Challenge". It's a gallery composed of themed nail designs. The theme for the week was water marbling. I did water marbling design a few weeks ago here. I was very lucky to be included in the gallery. Thanks so much Thriszha and Mae! =) Please do check out the other designs which are incredibly beautiful! Btw, the gallery can be seen here.

Today I did a design which has flowers and dots. I know it is very common but I need to have a "tamed down" nail design from time to time because of work. Ya know what I mean.

I used Wet n Wild Night Prowl for the base, for the diagonal tips I used Etude House PP007, for the flowers and dots i used Konad Special Pink polish and for the leaves I used China Glaze 2030.

May your week be happy! I sure hope mine's gonna be good too.

RANDOM: Birthday goodies!!

The past week was my birthday week. Now to celebrate that, me and my boyfriend went to the Karl Edwards Bazaar in the NBC Tent in The Fort. We went there because of one thing. Nail Polish shopping!! My Digital Traincase was there! I couldn't sleep the night before because 1) Again, Polish shopping!!  And 2) Im gonna get Space Cadet! Its bad enough that Orly's kind of expensive here in the Philippines, but for the Cosmic FX collection not to be EVER available here, well that's too much. That's why as soon as the word was out that MDT's gonna join the bazaar, I immediately told my boyfriend that we'll be going there on Saturday. And that's in the morning. And yes, I was her first customer. Haha! Anyway. Here's Orly Space Cadet and the whole bunch of bottles that I got.

top: L-R : Etude House PP007, China Glaze Matte Magic, China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald, Chinaglaze 2030
bottom: L-R: OPI Here today... Aragon tomorrow, OPI You dont know Jacques suede, Orly Space Cadet, Orly Viridian Vinyl, Orly Purple Pleather, Orly It's up to blue

I got all of this from My Digital Traincase

Bought this from PCX in Alabang Town Center

From Etude House, Megamall

I'd like to do a swatch on all the colors but mine's still occupied with growling nails. I'll try out first Orly Space Cadet! Anxiety's getting through me. Anyway, my boyfriend's gonna be back there later to buy something he pondered for all day yesterday. Maybe I can ask him to buy me just one more bottle. =p

SWATCH: Etude House Dear Darling Nails #30 Black Glam, Dear darling nails 3D #RD010 & Orly Rock Candy

Last Saturday my boyfriend was able to accompany me to go to Etude house in a mall somewhere in Ortigas. Ive always wanted to check it out but because of conflicting schedules and errands during weekends going there was always put off. So last Saturday, I was giddy as a kid after learning were both free to go.

The Shop was so cute! Its pink, its girly, its fantastic! Upon entering, I immediately looked for their nail polish stand. I stood there just gazing upon the creamy, glittery goodness. Wow. I love the bottle too! Picked the polish I like and got Dear Darling Nails #30 Black Glam, Dear darling nails 3D #RD010. I instantly fell in love with both colors! Anyway, I'll show you why later =) Another thing, its very affordable too! Less than PHP200 a bottle!

After Etude House we walked a bit and remembered I needed to buy some of my toiletries. We went to the department store but my pesky feet dragged me to the Orly polish stand. Too bad the Cosmic Fx collection's not yet available. But nothing to be sad about, I found Rock Candy=) After reading reviews about it I then included it on my wishlist. I love the color, and seeing the bottle made me want to eat it! It was like glaze on donuts! Anyway, I grabbed a bottle, my toiletries and paid.

So these are all the pretty little bottles:

Now for the swatches:
This is Orly Rock Candy

Both pics are taken with flash. Did 3 coats to be opaque.

Its duochrome, with a hint of violet and blue. Pretty.

 Now here's Dear darling nails 3D #RD010

 Taken with flash

Its.so.shiny!!! Sheer red with red glitters. Much like China Glaze's Ruby Pumps.  I did 3 coats for this. Well 2 is enough but I got high with all the glitters so I did 3.

 No flash

Who wouldn't love this color?

For the last one:  Dear Darling Nails #30 Black Glam

 This was taken without flash

It has black base with different colors of glitter.  I'm at complete awe with this.

Yeah I know its a bit messy. Sorry =P

 With flash

I just cant stop looking at it. Its like I'm lost in space. Captivated by the stars.. Circling through the Milky Way...

Oh by the way, the downside is, it feels a little gritty without a topcoat. But once you brushed a little, the magic happens and the color just pops out!

Next time I'll be getting other colors from this category. Or maybe their cremes. But then before I have  another of my anxiety attacks, I'd better go to sleep. So, Goodnight.

Camille
